My name is Grace Dawson and I am a teacher with a serious case of the travel bug virus.
Over the past few years I’ve lived in and visited Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Honduras, Guatemala, California, and more. I’ve always known that travel was going to be more than a 2 week vacation a year for me. It is a lifestyle.
I grew up as a military kid which meant moving around a lot. I struggled for years with the fact that I literally had no answer to the “So, where are you from?” question. I now relish how unique it is to truly say that I don’t have a hometown but I am always in search of one. I’ve finally decided to really bite the bullet and purse that dream to live abroad full time and have a job that travels. Yes, it will be slow going sometimes but I want to do more than a whirlwind 6 month trip around the globe. I want to live and breath the countries I move to. I want to see if any of them are worth becoming a “hometown.” Who knows where I’ll end up in this crazy career path that I’ve chosen!
I have as much of a passion for sharing my travels as I do experiencing them and would love for you to share in my adventures. This blog will follow me as I traverse the globe and share travel tips, ESL teaching advice, expat experiences and so much more!
Loves: Theatre, Photography, Hiking, Tolkien, Taco Bell, Lost & The Walking Dead
Hates: Spiders, Peanut butter, Motion sickness, Michael Bay movies
